This debut album captures the sound and energy that Sky Urchin exudes live while adding a minimal, but appropriate level of enhanced psychedelia to the vocals. The basic instrumental tracks were collected in the same performance with additional guitar overdubs for stereo richness on two consecutive studio session days. Between COVID and other difficulties, the majority of the album's vocals were not able to be completed until years later, but this also resulted in a change in the plan to have someone else mix the songs. By doing it ourselves instead, we were really able to create tones that feel true to our own experiences in the band. This is a special album to us, and we hope others can feel what we feel. That this is something that any fan of music should hear and experience as a truly unique contribution to the albums of the world. While we are not the machine of a band that many national or regional artists are, we would welcome nothing more than to be invited to play these songs wherever they are being appreciated. Thanks for reading and hopefully, for listening!
